Who Mentored Ruth?

December 31, 2017

Did you know "The Book of Ruth" could be called "The Book of Naomi"?

We think of mentorship as something modern, but there are examples from the bible of mentors, their legacies, and their relationships with their mentees.  Rather than reinvent the wheel, we can all learn life lessons from mentors who shaped  our views, attitudes, values and history.

Professor Christopher Bellitto, author of Ageless Wisdom: Lifetime Lessons from the Bible, introduces us to Ruth's mentor, Naomi.

The Mentor Project documents the role of mentoring and its powerful impact not only on the mentees but the mentor. During my research what I discovered was astonishing. After nearly45 in-depth interviews all the participants unanimously said being a mentor changed their life. It is now my mission to let others know the value and benefits mentors receive from giving back."
